We will allow for an isolated shower or thunderstorm overnight with most spots remaining rain-free as the bulk of the pre-frontal showers and thunderstorms are falling apart. The general timing we have talked about the past few days still seems fine for Friday. However, it will take a while to dry things out the farther south you go, especially from about Baltimore on southward. More importantly, a north to northwest breeze behind the front will begin ushering in less humid air Friday, and we will notice dew points slowly dropping by the afternoon hours.
Much cooler and more comfortable air will settle into the region Friday night. That will set the stage for a gorgeous weekend weather-wise. A large high pressure system now centered in NW Ontario will push into the northeast this weekend. #mdwx
