WEATHER BLOG: A 'Top-10' Day Of The Year

A well-defined wave that was located on the frontal boundary out near Chicago Thursday tracked east-southeastward during the past 24 hours and the models did not handle this feature very well.

Now, the rain is moving out and the light northerly flow behind the cold front that passed through earlier in the day is ushering drier air. Dew points are in the 50s across much of New England already. This comfortable air mass will continue to press southward in the evening and Saturday.

We are on track for a cooler night as skies become mostly clear. That will set the stage for an absolutely gorgeous weekend with abundant sunshine and highs in the low/mid 80s. Our weather Saturday will definitely meet my criteria for a Top-10 day of the year! #mdwx
