Satellite loop suggests that much of the area will see more clouds than sun Thursday afternoon, so we have gone that direction with the forecast.
We do not think there will be much in the way of precip around but would not rule out a spotty shower or maybe a thundershower.
There are no changes in thinking for the remainder of the forecast.
Spotty showers that were over the Chesapeake earlier have dissipated.
While the upper trough is exiting the region, there is still more energy riding over the top of the ridge into the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic on Thursday.
With some sunshine and the dewpoint still in the 60s, it is a situation where we will need to account for a spotty shower or t-storm popping up Thursday–most likely in the afternoon.
We are still going with a dry but humid forecast Thursday night through Saturday.
