Jeremy Conn: My AFC Predictions

AFC EAST- I think there is a clear cut winner here.  The Patriots will be back in the playoffs by winning this division.  The Miami Dolphins won the offseason but it wont be enough to overtake the Pats, but they will be improved.  The Bills and jets will bring up the rear. I cant see either team making a playoff push.  PATRIOTS, Dolphins, Bills, Jets

AFC WEST- Even with all the injuries and having the best player on defense suspended for 6 games, the Broncos will run away with this division.  This is the worst division in football,  The Chiefs will be vastly improved, but they only one 2 games last year. Vastly improves could be finishing 8-8.  Chargers and Raiders will be lucky to finish near .500.  I believe the Raiders will win the Jadaveon Clowney sweepstakes and be the worst team in football.  BRONCOS, Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders

AFC North - Easily the toughest division in the AFC to predict.  I do think the Bengals will win the division, but this one will come all the way down to the wire.  The Baltimore Ravens will get stronger as the season progresses, but i believe its going to take them a few games to gel with all the new players.  I still see them in the playoffs and making a strong run to finish the season.  I don't know what to think about the Steelers.  They need to stay healthy but they could win the division or finish below .500 this year.  Browns will be much improved, but their QB still stinks.  The Browns will finish around 7-9.

BENGALS, RAVENS, Steelers, Browns

AFC SOUTH - I still think the Texans win this division but will have to battle it out with the Colts.  Colts will finish second in the division but they will make the playoffs for a second consecutive season.  The Titans and Jaguars will miss the playoffs yet again, but I expect both teams to be improved.  TEXANS, COLTS, Titans, Jaguars

I have all of the same teams making the playoffs from last year, which i believe is really difficult for that to actually happen.  The rule of thumb , is 5 out and 5 new teams in.  I do have some changes in my NFC Predictions but nothing drastic.
