WEATHER BLOG: September Is Here!

The day is getting off to a much more comfortable start than Tuesday, and we expect this nicer trend to continue for the balance of the day, and the rest of the workweek.

Just look at the dew point temperature at BWI Wednesday, compared with the same time Tuesday: 53 Wednesday, but 71 Tuesday. That alone should tell you that a drier and much more comfortable air mass is going to be spreading out across the Mid-Atlantic states and sticking around for a while.

As a front currently located in the eastern Great Lakes plunges southward Wednesday night and Thursday, it won't produce any showers or thunderstorms around here. But, it will make Friday COOLER than either of the next two days, and temperatures should be no higher than the mid or upper 70s on Friday afternoon. But then we should bounce back very quickly, returning to the 80s this weekend.
