HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a young girl is at the hospital after she was hit by a pickup truck near Hagerstown.
Trooper Tim Kocevar told The Herald-Mail that the girl was struck on Leitersburg Pike, also known as state Route 60, at about 8 a.m. Friday. It happened near the Marsh Pike intersection, just north of Hagerstown.
Kocevar says the girl was standing on the northbound shoulder and ran into the travel lane.
