Food Network Show Revamps Maryland Restaurant

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Hagerstown restaurant is getting a makeover from a Food Network reality show, "Restaurant: Impossible."

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports the show will be in the city on Saturday and Sunday and will work to transform Georgia Boy Cafe at Park Circle.

The restaurant describes itself on its website as serving "authentic home-style cuisine with a southern flair." That includes fried chicken, barbeque, pulled pork and fried catfish.

In past shows chef Robert Irvine has transformed restaurants by revamping menus, retraining the staff and redoing the physical space. The transformation takes place on a budget of $10,000.

The changes to Georgia Boy Cafe will be revealed to owners and diners on Sunday.

The show is scheduled to air on Nov. 20.
