WEATHER BLOG: Summer Isn't Over Yet

#mdwx: A largely dry cold front has begun to move through the region. That will help drop low temps into the upper 50s Sunday night with highs Monday only reaching into the upper 70s for central Maryland.

A warm front will then move in Tuesday through Wednesday, bringing back that heat and humidity.

Summer definitely isn't over yet. Highs on Wednesday forecast in the low 90s. We will be keeping a close eye on things come Thursday as a fairly potent cold front is expected to push through.

There's some model disagreement now, but my thoughts are that Thursday late afternoon/evening we could see some strong and potentially severe t-storms. We will be able to fine-tune as more model data comes in.

Friday we will cool back down into the upper 70s with sunshine returning.
