Frederick County Schedules 3 Flu Vaccine Clinics

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- The Frederick County Health Department says it will be offering free flu vaccines for children.

Health officials say they have scheduled three clinics to give out the vaccines, two in October and one in November. The free vaccines are being made possible through a grant from the Maryland Department of Health on Mental Hygiene.

Health officials say the vaccines will be available for children ages 6 months through age 17. The vaccines will be available both as a flu shot and as a nasal spray.

Officials plan to hold three clinics at the health department in Frederick on Oct. 5, Oct. 22 and Nov. 16.
