WEATHER BLOG: Summer's Back

After a relatively cool day Monday, the heat and humidity have returned! Summer isn't ready to "throw in the towel" just yet!

Monday morning, dew points were in the 40s... Tuesday morning our dew points rose into the 60s. Nothing says welcome to the roller coaster of early fall and late summer weather than that! Some of the warmest upper-atmospheric temps that this heat-blast has to offer will actually pass overhead Tuesday night, making for a very warm, sticky and uncomfortable night. Wednesday will turn out to be an uncomfortably hot day with temps topping out between 90-95. Not only will the air temp be fiery, but when you factor in the humidity, it will make it feel like it's around 100 with only a slight reprieve at the beaches. On Thursday, cooler Canadian air will be ushered in behind a cold front... but out ahead of the front we could see some frisky thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening.
