D.C. National Guard Museum To Open
WASHINGTON (AP) -- There's a new museum in Washington: a gallery commemorating the history of the District of Columbia National Guard.
The D.C. National Guard Museum will open for the first time on Wednesday, the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Soldiers from the D.C. National Guard were among the first responders to the attack on the Pentagon. Uniforms and equipment used by pilots who were on duty that day will be on display.
The 1,000-square-foot museum is located at the D.C. Armory near RFK Stadium.
