WEATHER BLOG: September Sunday

High pressure is promoting clear skies and light winds over the area early Sunday morning. This is a recipe for good radiational cooling, which is what we are seeing as temperatures are representative of autumn. However, satellite shows high level clouds with the next system spreading across the Great Lakes.

While Sunday will begin with sunshine, it will become filtered through high clouds by afternoon. As high pressure moves to our south,  winds will become southerly. Temperatures will be warmer compared to Saturday, and close to average for the middle of September.
