WEATHER BLOG: Plenty Of Sunshine

#mdwx: Our current surface map shows a ridge of high pressure over the mid-Atlantic and northeastern states providing us with plenty of sunshine and refreshing northeasterly flow.

Some neighborhood thermometers will possibly be able to reach 70 Tuesday afternoon, but we are still anticipating afternoon temps that will average 8-10 degrees below normal for Tuesday's date.

Radiational cooling will be maximized Tuesday night with a very light wind and mostly clear skies, so you can anticipate a rather cool start to your Wednesday with temps in the lower 40s early Wednesday morning in the suburbs to upper 40s and low 50s downtown.

Winds will then shift out of the south Wednesday, allowing temps to rebound into the mid 70s by Wednesday afternoon.
