PERRY HALL, Md. (WJZ) — Dog owners in the Perry Hall community will have a new place to let their pets run free.
Baltimore County is beginning construction of the Perry Paw Dog Park at Honeygo Run Regional Park.
The planned dog park is a $205,000 addition to the county’s popular Honeygo Run Regional Park. The dog park will include a . 34 acre area for small dogs and a 1.06 acre area for larger breeds.
The park will feature a key card entry system for members, water fountains for dogs, benches, fencing around the perimeters, trash containers and a dog waste collection unit.
The park will be operated by the Perry Paw Dog Park Committee, a committee of the Perry Hall Recreation Council. The dog park is expected to be completed by spring 2014.
Perry Paw Dog Park will be the fourth dog park in Baltimore County, with similar parks operating at St. Helena Park in Dundalk, Robert E. Lee Park in Mt. Washington and Hannah More Park in Reisterstown.
