Police Investigating Teen's Fatal Shooting

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- A Prince George's County teenager who was going to be a witness in a murder case was fatally shot inside his home, and detectives are investigating whether he was targeted because of his expected testimony.

The Washington Post reports Kquantae Fisher, 19, was found dead in his home Wednesday.

Prince George's County State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks says officials learned in March of a credible threat against Fisher but that he and his family declined witness protection services.

Fisher was one of two teens initially charged with killing 16-year-old Marcus Antonio Jones, but prosecutors dropped the charges after determining he was not involved. Fisher was expected to testify against the alleged gunman, Akil Ings.

Prince George's Police Chief Mark Magaw says police are investigating all possible motives in Fisher's killing.
