Man Indicted In Neighbor's Slaying

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A man accused of killing his 61-year-old neighbor in her apartment has been indicted in her death.

A Frederick County grand jury returned the indictment against Antwine Dwayne Snowden, 51, on Friday. He was indicted on first- and second-degree murder and robbery.

Snowden was arrested in July in the slaying of Gloria Fitzpatrick. She was found dead April 22 on her living room floor and her wallet was missing. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Fitzpatrick died from multiple injuries consistent with asphyxiation or strangulation.

The News-Post of Frederick reports Snowden lived in an apartment below Fitzpatrick's and often helped her carry in groceries.

Snowden remains held without bail.
