WEATHER BLOG: Fall Arrives
Fall arrives @ 4:44 p.m. Sunday.
Any leftover clouds Sunday morning will give way to a good deal of afternoon sunshine. Also, it will be somewhat breezy (12-24 mph Sunday afternoon), as cooler and drier air slides in from the north and west. High pressure will settle over southern Ontario overnight, providing a light northwesterly flow. Given the light flow and generally clear skies, temperatures will take a tumble into the 40s. There can be some valley fog late Sunday as the flow diminishes.
Additionally, it may be worth reminding viewers that they'll need a light jacket stepping out the door on Monday morning! Temperatures will rebound into the lower-mid 60s Monday afternoon as a light nw'erly breeze resumes. Skies will be abundantly sunny, best described as a "pleasantly cool" day. Monday night will be another cool one, about as cool as the night prior; some patchy fog may develop toward daybreak.
