Several Displaced After 2-Alarm Fire Rips Through 12 Apartments In Lansdowne

LANSDOWNE, Md. (WJZ)—Thirteen adults and fourteen children are displaced after a two-alarm fire ripped through an apartment complex in Lansdowne.

It happened just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday  on the third floor of the apartment, located at 2 Silerton Road. The fire was under control at 1:50 p.m.

In all, 12 units were destroyed, displacing several families.

Sky Eye Chopper 13 shows intense damage to the roof.

A firefighter suffered a hand injury while fighting the blaze.

The American Red Cross has been requested to help those impacted.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
