WEATHER BLOG: Not Out Of The Rainy Woods Yet

#mdwx: A weak, broad surface low is currently positioned in the western Atlantic to the east of the Va./N.C. coast Saturday morning. That will provide us with occasional chances for light rain and/or drizzle throughout the day.

High pressure is starting to build in from the north and east but the dry air will not make it far enough south to keep the damp weather with occasional rain and drizzle out of the forecast through Sunday morning. The farther north you go on the weather map, the less rain and drizzle.

The pressure gradient will continue to provide us with some wind, prompting a small craft advisory on the bay that will not expire until later Saturday evening with gusts up to 20kts possible in some spots. The general northeast to east flow should hold clouds in the forecast for Sunday but in general, a dry afternoon Sunday with a few hit and miss showers in the morning.
