TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- A crash that closed southbound Interstate 95 in Baltimore County has injured a woman and a child.

The crash Sunday evening apparently involved a car and a motorcycle. It happened just before 6 p.m. and shut down the southbound lanes of I-95.

Maryland State Police say that a female motorcyclist was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma center with serious, life-threatening injuries. An 8-year-old child who was in the car involved in the crash had minor injuries.

Police say two other people in the car were not hurt.
