WEATHER BLOG: Chance Of Rain

#mdwx: The band of showers associated with the next cold front that is expected to pass through is well out to our west. We will be mostly dry throughout the day Wednesday, but will allow for a stray shower to move in overnight. Best chances for any shower activity will be in western Maryland Wednesday night.

Thursday should be mainly dry with highs mostly in the low and mid 70s. There's a better chance (around 70 percent) for widespread rainfall to move in as early as Thursday evening as an impulse of jet stream energy rolls out of Kentucky and into the mid Atlantic states.

We will then cool down into the weekend with highs in the mid/upper 60s. By the start of next week, highs should dip into the low 60s as a cold front brings us a shot of reinforcing cool air down from Canada.
