Cell Phone Stolen In Laurel Armed Robbery

LAUREL, Md. (WJZ)— A 30-year-old man was robbed of his cell phone in Laurel.  Anne Arundel County Police are looking for the suspect.

It happened Wednesday at around 6:45 p.m.

The victim says he was walking in the 3400-block of Laurel Fort Meade Road when he was approached by a male who displayed a handgun and demanded his phone. The victim handed over his phone and the suspect fled the scene on foot and was last seen walking toward Whiskey Bottom Road.

The area was canvassed for the suspect, but he was not located.

The victim was not injured.
