Hotel On Ocean City Boardwalk Damaged By Fire

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) — A 93-year-old hotel on Ocean City’s boardwalk has been damaged by fire.

Authorities say the cause of Friday’s fire at the Majestic Hotel is under investigation.

The hotel is closed and boarded up for winter, and no one was inside when the fire broke out.

Ocean City resident Anthony Keiser says he and his sister, Summer Shutt, were walking past the hotel when they smelled and then saw smoke. Shutt called 911 to report the blaze.

It took about three hours to bring the fire under control.
