WEATHER BLOG: Clear Skies

#mdwx: High pressure building in from the southwest will be the major weather player for the next 24-36 hours.

As a result, we can expect mostly clear skies Sunday night with plenty of sunshine returning Monday. Sunday night temps will plummet into the upper 30s/ lower 40s, and it will turn out to be a seasonably chilly night, especially for areas outside of the city. Temps are expected to be the lowest we have seen since spring in many areas.

After a chilly start to the day on Monday, sunshine will allow temps to rebound quickly into the mid 60s with a few high clouds moving in from the west late in the day.

These high clouds will be in advance of an approaching front that will arrive on our doorstep late Tuesday. Behind this front, we will get a blast of much cooler air dropping both our high temps and low temps approximately 10 degrees below our 30-year average.
