Pasadena Man Arrested For DWI

PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) — An Anne Arundel County police officer arrests a man for DWI after a pursuit ends with the suspect fleeing into the woods.

Police say Steven Plummer, 29, was traveling southbound on I-97 near Dorsey Road at a high-rate of speed with no lights on.

While taking the ramp onto Route 100 East, police say Plummer struck the guardrail and spun out of control. He then pulled away as the officer approached.

The officer then activated his lights and sirens, and police say the suspect sped up and continued east on Route 100.

The driver was speeding, crossing lanes and was followed for suspicion of DWI.

Plummer eventually pulled over on Route 100 West at the split to Route 10, where he fled from the vehicle. He was caught in the woods.

Police say Plummer smelled like alcohol. He was charged with several traffic and criminal violations
