3 Men Charged In Shooting Of Md. Hotel Worker

OXON HILL, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police have charged three men in the fatal shooting of a hotel employee.

Police said Monday that the three men, all from the District of Columbia, were taken into custody after detectives received an anonymous tip. Police say they believe the three men are responsible for additional robberies in the area.

Jesse Chavez was fatally shot last week during a robbery at the Clarion Hotel in Oxon Hill. Investigators believe one of the suspects entered the hotel to demand money, while another acted as a lookout and the third drove the getaway car.

Police say they recovered a handgun they believe was used in the killing, as well as a torched getaway car.

The three men are charged with murder.
