Man Critically Injured After Being Trapped Under Mower

KEYMAR, Md. (AP) -- The Carroll County Sheriff's office says a man was injured after he was trapped under a mower for an unknown period of time.

Sgt. Phil Lawrence tells the Carroll County Times that deputies responded to Keymar on Monday afternoon. He says Dale Trout, 56, had propped the mower up and was sharpening blades when the hydraulics system the mower was on failed, trapping him.

Lawrence says CPR was performed at the scene before Trout was taken to Carroll Hospital Center with serious injuries, then flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. A Shock Trauma spokeswoman said Trout was in critical condition Monday evening.
