WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says buses will replace trains on a section of the red line this weekend and through Veterans Day, which is Monday.

Metro says beginning Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through closing on Monday, free shuttle buses will replace trains between Shady Grove and White Flint. The Shady Grove, Rockville and Twinbrook stations will be closed.

At the same time, blue and yellow line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend, including Veterans Day. Orange line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend, but on Veterans Day additional trains will operate between Vienna and Stadium-Armory between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. and between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Green line trains will operate on a regular service schedule.

Metro will open at 5 a.m. on Veterans Day.
