Families Displaced After 2-Alarm Dundalk Apartment Fire

DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ) -- Several families are displaced Saturday morning following a two-alarm fire at an apartment building in Dundalk.

A viewer sent photos in to WJZ's newsroom showing the blaze in the 1600-block of Four Georges Court.

Baltimore County firefighters say the flames broke out in a ground level apartment and spread to a dozen units.

Several residents were trapped on balconies and 10 people were rescued by fire department crews

Eighteen people were displaced, and the Red Cross is helping the families find new homes.

Two residents and one firefighter were rushed to Johns Hopkins Bayview for smoke inhalation. Doctors say one of the residents has serious injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
