Police: 2 U-Md. Students Beaten, Robbed By Group

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — Police are looking for a group of men who robbed two University of Maryland students behind an off-campus apartment complex.

The robbery occurred around 3:15 a.m. Saturday. Maryland-National Capital Park Police say the two male students were walking on a footpath behind the University View Apartments when they were approached by a group of eight to 10 men.

The group demanded property from the students and then beat them and stole items before fleeing on foot. Both students had minor injuries, and one was treated at a hospital.
