BERLIN, Md. (WJZ) — An accident involving a Maryland State trooper leaves a teenager dead in Worcester County.

State police say around 8 p.m. Friday, two teen brothers crossed Rt. 113 in Berlin and ran directly into the path of the oncoming trooper’s patrol car.

The trooper, identified as Nicholas Hager, 21, struck both teens, identified as Tymeir Dennis, 16, and Tyheym Bowen.

Dennis was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His brother was taken to Shock Trauma. Bowen’s condition is unknown.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
