WEATHER BLOG: Windy

The big story Sunday across the Northeast and parts of the mid-Atlantic will be the gusty winds. A fast-moving disturbance will move across the Northeast through the day and the associated low pressure system will track from southern Quebec to northern New England. Winds will be 30-35 mphs for the afternoon and into the evening. The forecast suggests the stronger winds will transfer down to the surface.

So, it certainly looks like gusts at times will reach 30 mph and a peak gust near 35 mph cannot be ruled out. Winds will remain gusty into at least the early part of the evening before decreasing through the overnight. Temperatures Sunday will be warmer compared to Saturday. However, factoring in the winds, real-feel temperatures will be in the middle to upper 50s during the afternoon.
