ABERDEEN, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a Delaware man was killed in a crash on southbound Interstate 95 near Aberdeen.

Police say the crash occurred when a Chevrolet Cavalier pulled onto the right shoulder on Wednesday and began backing into the right lane, where it hit a Chevrolet Silverado and a tractor-trailer, which was hit by another tractor-trailer.

Police say the driver of the Chevrolet Cavalier, 48-year-old Robert Killian of Bear, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.

The drivers of the tractor trailers were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
