Man Killed After Driving Wrong Way On I-95

LAUREL, Md. (AP) -- One man is dead after driving his car the wrong way on Interstate 95 in Prince George's County and crashing head-on with a tractor-trailer.

Maryland State Police say Christian Allen Knight, 22, of Olney was killed in the crash early Sunday. The driver of the truck, Vernelle Crudup of Wendell, N.C., was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Northbound I-95 was closed for several hours while police investigated and the crash scene was cleared.

Investigators say it's not clear why Knight was driving the wrong way on the interstate.
