Fight Results In Gunfire On Metro Train
CHEVERLY, Md. (AP) -- Metro officials say a gunshot was fired inside a Metro train during an argument between two men.
Transit agency spokesman Philip Stewart says a fight broke out between two men on a train bound for New Carrollton about 2 a.m. Sunday. One man was struck in the head with a gun, causing the gun to fire and break a train window.
No other passengers were injured.
Metro says a suspect was arrested as the train arrived at the Cheverly station. The other man was taken to a hospital.
