BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — The governor of Montana will appear at a fundraiser for Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler, who is running in a crowded Democratic primary next year for governor.

Montana Gov. Steve Bullock, a Democrat, is scheduled to appear Tuesday as the “special guest” at a home in Bethesda. The campaign is asking for donations of at least $150.

Bullock last year did what Gansler hopes to do — move from attorney general to governor.

An aide told The Washington Post hat Gansler and Bullock got to know each other well through the National Association of Attorneys General and the Democratic Attorneys General Association.

Maryland’s Democratic governor, Martin O’Malley, has endorsed his lieutenant governor, Anthony Brown, in the primary.
