Police: Man Kidnapped, Forced To Withdraw Cash

TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (AP) -- Metro police say a man was kidnapped at gunpoint at a Metro station and forced to withdraw cash from several ATMs.

Officials say the man was taken by train from the Naylor Road station in Temple Hills on Friday night to the Waterfront station.

Metro officials say the kidnapper's gun was apparently covered by a sweatshirt as they rode the train. The pair left the Waterfront station in southwest Washington and the victim was forced to withdraw money from several ATMs.

The men returned to the Waterfront station, where Metro officials say they boarded separate trains. Police say they believe that the kidnapper rode back to Naylor Road. The victim was not injured.
