WEATHER BLOG: Winter Weather Coming?

It looks like December 2013 will end on a relatively quiet note weather wise. It will be cold, but certainly not extreme. That is good news for all those who will be out and about for New Year's Eve.

The most noticeable aspect of our weather Tuesday afternoon and evening will be a gusty west to northwest wind blowing. That will make it feel colder than what the actual thermometer is registering. New Year's Day appears to be a dry day with clouds and some sun. Temps that day will be a tad lower than Tuesday. After the holiday, all eyes will be turning to the potential for a major winter storm that will try to gel together for the Thursday-Friday time frame. We've seen different solutions with the models over the past couple of days so a few more model runs will add to more confidence on exactly what type of precipitation we will see and how much.
