Police: 'Dine & Dasher' Held On $20,000 Bond For Latest Attempt To Skip Tab

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—The so called "dine and dasher" strikes again. Police arrest 46-year-old Andrew Palmer for allegedly skipping out on a New Year's Day tab at the Kona Grill at the Inner Harbor.

Police were called about 3 p.m., and the manager told them that Palmer said he wanted to walk around the corner to the bank and get the money for the $50 bill.

An officer asked him which bank, and Palmer could not say.

He had no bank cards on his person, so police took him into custody.

Palmer has gained a reputation around city restaurants for racking up expensive tabs, and then in some case faking seizures to get out of paying.

Palmer has been found guilty of petty theft under $100 eight times in the past year.

For the latest charge, he's being held on $20,000 bond.
