Savannah State led 40-26 at halftime with the help of 7 3-pointers. The Tigers shot 58.3 percent from the floor for the game, including 11 of 21 3-point tries.

The Eagles got within seven points with 16:22 left before the Tigers pulled away with a 10-0 run.

The Eagles (4-11, 1-1), who lost their seventh straight, got 15 points from Michael Murray.
