1 Dead After Rockville Apartment Fire
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County officials say a man is dead after fire broke out in a Rockville apartment.
Assistant Fire Chief Scott Graham says when firefighters entered the apartment on Crossfield Court, they found the man on the floor. He was taken to an area hospital where he died early Thursday.
Officials say residents of about 30 apartments were displaced because of water damage and natural gas lines being shut off.
The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation.
