Jeremy Conn: My Super Bowl Experience...

I had one of the worst experience of my life when I went to New York for the Super Bowl. The Mass Transit Super Bowl should never happen again, unless hey change everything.  First off, getting there was ridiculous for some. Many people had to wait in line for over 2 hours just to get to the stadium at the train station.  Other people over paid for parking spots or to take shuttles away from the stadium.  It was $51 one way on the shuttles and $150 for a parking spot.  If I could do it all over again, I would have shelled out the cash.  The ride home was the worst for me though.  I went to the game with a former Producer who was working for the NFL Network but midway through the Big Game his phone died and I couldn't find him at the end of the game.

So there I was wandering around Met Life Stadium for an hour looking for my buddy with no idea how to get back to my car, which happens to be in Harlem.  So I decided to cut bait and get in line for the train.  I waited for an hour and a half before my phone rang and I got back in touch with the brains of my operation on how to get back home.  So he met me in line and we proceeded to wait for over 3 hours before even getting to the train.  I got in an argument with a Seahawks fan who thought I was pushing up against him for no reason.  He was an idiot!  Everybody was pushing on everyone else, there was no room. It wasnt like we were in a single file line.  This New York Super Bowl was a horrible idea. We were all bunched into a gigantic fire hazard with no end in sight.  Oh by the way, it started to rain about an hour into our wait for a train. Once we got off that train, it was on to another train and then another.  I finally got back to my car at 2am and still had a 3 hour and twenty-minute drive ahead of me.

I was driving in a torrential downpour on roughly 4 hours of sleep on the New Jersey Turnpike.  I was barely holding it together, so I decided to stop at a rest stop and take a nap.  I finally fell asleep for about 15 minutes and then some random guy banged on my window and I nearly jumped through my sun roof. Apparently I had left my lights on.  I couldn't fall back asleep after that so I decided to push forward and drive home. I started losing it and almost falling asleep at the wheel around Havre De Grace, but managed to make it home.

Oh yeah, the game sucked too.
