Many spots across the region saw a trace of snow or flurries throughout the day, but did not amount to much. Another piece of energy will travel from the northern plains by Sunday afternoon and evening, bringing anywhere from a coating to an inch of snowfall region-wide. Highs are forecast in the mid 30s, so it is possible that a few raindrops will mix in with any snow, especially southeast of the I-95 corridor.
Later in the week, we could see some precipitation as models indicate some moisture and energy from the south and some energy from the northwest trying to phase together. Models differ on the timing of that with the Euro bringing it in by Wednesday afternoon while the GFS holds it off until Thursday. For now, we have opted for the slower timing.
