WEATHER BLOG: Storm Coming

Old Man Winter is making another comeback this week as we have another challenging storm on our hands that is expected to move in Wednesday night into Thursday.

We are at the point in time where we have to start talking about this being a major, disruptive winter storm. A Winter Storm Watch has already been issued by the NWS and is set to go into effect at 7 p.m. Wednesday. There is still a lot of uncertainty with this system concerning the precipitation type, location of the rain/snow line and intensity.

Hopefully these are questions we will be able to answer within the next 24 hours.

This is really a case where a difference in the storm track of 50 to 100 miles could make the difference of 6 inches or more of snow accumulation. We have A TON of info to sort through over the next couple of days before we can break down the exact details for you and put together a snowfall forecast map. For now, we have to stress that this storm will likely be a major one for us. Until then... enjoy dry weather with temps much colder than normal.
