Baltimore County Police Identify Drowning Victim

RANDALLSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County Police have identified a man who drowned while trying to cross a stream on his way home.

Police say Eugene Purnell Williams, 64, was pulled from the water Friday afternoon and later died at a hospital.

Witnesses say the Randallstown man was trying to cross a stream behind an apartment complex on his way home. Police say the man was last seen going underwater, and he was unconscious and not breathing by the time emergency workers were able to reach him.
