FALLEN OFFICER: Honoring Amy Caprio | Road Closures WJZ WEATHER: Flash Flood Warning Issued | WJZ Radar | Download The WJZ Weather App

The Orioles took the “better late than never” approach to this off-season. It took them a long time, but they got two marquee free agents in Ubaldo Jimenez and Nelson Cruz. Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun joined Zinno on “Last Call” to discuss it all.

Connolly likes the Jimenez signing, but knows there are risks. Jimenez has been very good and very bad in the same season. The same goes with Nelson Cruz and some of his metrics, not only defensively, but offensively as well. The Orioles have certainly made fans happy with the signings and have the Birds looking like solid contenders in the AL East.
