Metro Riders Should Expect Delays For Weekend Work

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Passengers traveling on the orange, blue, and green lines will have to wait longer for Metro trains this weekend.

Beginning Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through closing on Sunday, trains on the orange, blue and green lines will operate every 20 minutes.

In addition, on the red line, trains will run every 16 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., however, additional red line trains will run every 10 minutes between Shady Grove and Judiciary Square.

On the yellow line, trains will run from Huntington to Mount Vernon square only but at regular weekend intervals.
