WEATHER BLOG: Drastic Cool Down

After a brief shower and some gusty winds, now we are awaiting the arrival of some more Arctic air. Overnight, much colder air will begin to filter into the region along with strong NW winds.

By Thursday morning we expect that temperatures will be back in the 20s everywhere with winds around 15 to 30 mph and even higher gusts making it a day you might expect in January. Highs, despite, sunshine will struggle to reach just above the freezing mark, a full 20 degrees below normal.

The good news is that this cold snap will be short-lived. By Friday sunshine and temperatures again in the 50s will be felt again. Even warmer air is on tap for Saturday, but it will cool off again somewhat on Sunday.

March is a real roller coaster of weather as we head toward spring, but some winter is still lurking around.
