Worker Killed In Fall From Water Tower

PASADENA, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County fire officials say a worker was killed when he fell from atop a 180-foot tall water tower.

Fire Department Division Chief Keith Swindle says the 21-year-old man was working on communications equipment on top of the water tower in Pasadena about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Swindle says the tower is behind a building that houses a police and fire station.

Paramedics tried to resuscitate the man, but he was pronounced dead.

The incident is being investigated by Maryland Occupational Safety and Health.
