Jason La Canfora is a CBSSports.com’s NFL Insider. Jason joined Ken and Ed to discuss the state of the Ravens and NFL Free Agency.
Ken wonders why the NFL is even considering changing the NFL. Jason says it’s because no one is talking about it and it’s boring. When something is as close to guaranteed as it’ll get, then you have to change it up. Jason says that it’s more to make the extra point more of a football play than something that’s given.
Ed asks Jason is the Steve Smith signing with the Ravens is a band-aid or a great signing. Jason says that it might be a one year deal despite the three year contract, and after this year if he is performing then the Ravens keep him and use him and if he is under-performing then the Ravens can cut him with little damage to the salary cap.
